At Coram, the UK’s first children’s charity, our specialist group of charities provides children and young people with the love and opportunity they need to thrive. One of the ways we create better chances for children and young people is by providing those leaving care with advocacy, advice and opportunities to get their voices heard. Last year, we supported over 1,000 young care leavers, directly supporting 300 who were experiencing homelessness.
We would like to invite you to join us in person for a supporter and community event focusing on Coram’s work with care experienced young people on 20th (3pm to 4.30pm) or 21st July (6pm to 7.30pm) at the Coram Campus, 41 Brunswick Square, London, WC1N 1AZ to:
- Hear first-hand from young care leavers how Coram’s work has made a difference in their lives
- Meet our team of experts responsible for delivering our services and Carol Homden, Coram’s CEO to find out how we are responding to challenges such as the high rates of homelessness among care leavers
- Enjoy delicious refreshments and an opportunity to meet others who are interested in our work at this informal gathering
